From time to time a painting just won't do and then it's time for a Picture Book.
Right now there are four finished and several others in various states of incompletion.
The first in the series is: Cartographer, A small tale with pictures.
This is the story of a cartographer who becomes overtaken by the details
of his occupation and life.
Two Ten-Gallon Tales is the second in the series. It consists of two poems in which ten gallon hats find their way into the story.
Twang Scuffle is the third and most comic book-like picture book. It's a bit of a noir tale based on a rather short, angry looking gentlemen I saw eating a burrito at a small mexican restaurant.
Dismiss the Devil was produced a couple years after the initial three picture books and feels a good deal different. It emerged from a group project which questioned how the devil would ask for your soul—what kind of trickery would be employed? would the Devil prey on naïveté? Could you grow up not realizing you had no soul?
